Life companies among most valuable insurance brands

Axa, Metlife and Zurich have taken some of the top spots among the 100 most valuable insurance brands of 2018, but China is the most dominant country with its companies taking four of the top 10 slots.
Japan’s Nippon Life Insurance dropped out of the top 10, having been ranked the fifth most valuable brand in 2017, to sit 11th on the 2018 list.
Italy’s Generali moved to 13th from 15th last year, while Aviva and Prudential sat 19th and 26th, respectively. Both UK companies showed year-on-year improvement.
Canada’s Sun Life Financial came in 41st, with Legal & General 44th and Scottish Widows plummeting from 34th to 46th.
Dutch insurer Aegon came in 47th.
South Africa-headquartered Old Mutual reached 89th on the list, having been ranked 97th in 2017.
