Ron Dicks – formerly a partner at Citadel and a family office specialist at Asba – will be responsible for managing and developing the private bank’s Cape Town based company.
He will report to Clive Wright, head of private wealth management, offshore, as well as working with other colleagues in the Channel Islands and Isle of Man to drive the growth of the international business and support the needs of intermediaries, corporate clients and ultra high net worth individuals.
According to Kleinwort Benson chief executive Sally Tennant, Dicks’ hire signals the further strengthening of the senior team across the bank’s locations, with South Africa singled out as a growth area.
“South Africa offers great opportunities for growth and with Ron’s appointment I am confident we can continue to expand our offering and capabilities there,” she said.
Meanwhile, Wright added: “Our expanding network of private wealth management offices means we are better equipped to support and service the needs of our multi-jurisdictional clients, financial advisers and intermediaries.”
