Kinrock becomes UK’s ‘largest’ independent provider of digital CPD services to FS sector

By Mark Battersby, 6 Nov 24

This acquisition follows Kinrock’s previous integrations of CPD and e-learning providers

Kinrock, a provider of digital continuous professional development (CPD), regulatory education and compliance software services, has acquired Zing 365 Limited (Zing365) on 25 October 2024 for an undisclosed sum.

In a statement today (6 November) Kinrock said the acquisition on 25 October 2024, alongside its subsidiary Redmill Advance, positions Kinrock as “the largest independent digital provider of CPD services to the UK financial services sector”.

Founded 25 years ago, Zing365 has become a leader in regulatory CPD solutions for the UK’s insurance sector, renowned for its insurance-focused e-learning content, high-quality instructor-led training and exceptional client service.

Zing365 is trusted by some of the UK’s largest insurers and brokers to empower their employees, partners, and clients through specialised CPD and regulatory training.

The acquisition will give Zing365 clients access to Kinrock’s suite of technology, products, and services across its subsidiaries. Notably, they will benefit from Redmill’s market-leading CPD reporting and recording tool, AdvanceCPD, allowing individuals, managers, and organisations to easily track and record all CPD activities, simplifying the process of meeting annual learning requirements.

Zing365’s founders, Fran Burgess and James Read, will continue to lead the company, ensuring a smooth transition and continuity of Zing365’s commitment to high-quality service and product innovation. As part of Kinrock, Zing365 will expand its CPD offerings and enhance the reporting tools within its digital learning platform, providing greater benefits for both current and future clients.

Additionally, Zing365’s compliance and ESG e-learning content will now be available to sectors beyond insurance, expanding the reach of its specialist regulatory training.

This acquisition follows Kinrock’s previous integrations of leading CPD and e-learning providers, including Redmill Advance (2022), Expert Pensions (2023), as well as Microw and Red IT Solutions (both 2024), furthering Kinrock’s activities across corporate e-learning and
compliance software.

Fran Burgess, co-founder and CEO of Zing365, said: “We are thrilled to join Kinrock as we continue our journey of growth and innovation. We are committed to advancing industry training standards, enabling employees to access relevant, flexible training, tailored to their roles and learning styles.

“With Kinrock’s people, technology, and industry expertise, we are uniquely positioned to make a lasting impact on the market.”

Alex Arapoglou, Managing Director of Kinrock, said: “We are honoured that Fran and James have chosen Kinrock as the long-term home for Zing365. The company has distinguished itself by delivering high-quality e-learning content that places the learner at the centre. With Zing365, Kinrock’s market position is even stronger, and we look forward to working with this outstanding team to drive further growth and innovation.”
