Data key as wealth managers gear up for volatile summer
By International Adviser, 1 Apr 16
Like Janet Yellen’s Federal Reserve, it would appear that UK wealth managers are planning to be very data dependent in the second quarter.

An understandable course of action given the violent swings seen in the first few months of 2016 and the Brexit vote looming at the end of June, this data dependence has been accompanied in many cases by a rise in cash holdings, especially after the rally seen since midway through February.
In order to get a better sense of what wealth managers are thinking as we head in to April, we asked a few if they were expecting to see any major asset allocation moves over the course of the quarter and what they would be.
And, given all the noise in markets, we also took the opportunity to ask if there are any particular data points on which they would be focusing.
