The government-backed trade body said the industry supports the series of TIEAs signed by the Jersey authorities, which are set to continue. It said the TIEAs reinforced the high standards of Jersey’s finance industry and signalled Jersey’s participation in global initiatives to strengthen the financial services system and combat fiscal crime.
Jersey has a growing list of TIEAs that includes the UK, US, France and Germany, and Jersey Finance welcomed additions to the list. Jersey Finance said the island was leading the field in global transparency and information exchange and views the TIEAs as vital to this process.
