Jersey and UK Country Head announced for Gen II

By Jonathan Boyd, 25 Jun 25

Gen II outlines operational, governance goals in role of new Country Head for Jersen and UK.

Gen II Fund Services, the global private capital fund administrator, has announced Matt Beresford as its new Country Head, Jersey and UK.

Based at Gen II’s Jersey office, Beresford (pictured) brings over 20 years of leadership experience in financial services, including Lloyds Banking Group, where he most recently served as Country Head for the Isle of Man at Lloyds Bank International. At Lloyds, he led the operations function across the Crown Dependencies, held various Director level responsibilities and undertook several other senior roles including Head of Retail for the Channel Islands and Isle of Man, Head of Expatriate Banking, and Area Director in Central London.

In his new role at Gen II, he will oversee operations across Jersey and the UK, with a focus on supporting leadership across teams, embedding a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring operational alignment with governance standards. He will play a critical role in maintaining strong, credible relationships with regulatory bodies and enhancing the effectiveness of Gen II’s control environment.

Steven Millner, CEO and Co-Founder of Gen II, said: “Matt’s deep operational experience and proven ability to lead in regulated environments and multiple jurisdictions will be a tremendous asset as we continue to strengthen our presence in the Channel Islands and the UK. He brings the right mix of strategic oversight, people leadership, and client focus.”

Matt Beresford, Country Head, Jersey and UK for Gen II said: “I’m pleased to be joining Gen II at such an exciting time of growth and opportunity. The firm has earned a strong reputation in private capital fund services, and I look forward to working with teams across the business to build on that success and continue delivering for our clients with excellence and integrity.”
