Shameer Jasani was named a partner in the firm’s Cayman Islands corporate and funds team, while Ray Ng was made partner and head of litigation for BVI and Asia.
Jasani joined Ogier in 2007 from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Taylor Wessing in London.
He specialises in investment funds, including hedge funds, funds of funds and private equity funds. He advises investment managers on their structuring, formation and operational requirements as well as acquisitions and joint ventures.
Ng was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1987, and practised in London until he joined Ogier BVI in 2010. His specialities are in commercial, company, insolvency and trust law.
The Ogier Group was originally founded in the Channel Islands, and now provides international legal services and trust, company and fund administration across the globe, employing a workforce of around 850.
