Isle of Man-headquartered wealth manager merges with trust firm

By Robbie Lawther, 26 Sep 23

To ‘form a stronger and more expert financial services team’

Greystone Trust has agreed to merge with Isle of Man and Dubai-based Charterhouse Lombard in a bid to create a “stronger” trust company, the firms said in a statement.

This comes after the acquisition of Greystone Trust by Charterhouse Lombard on 2 October 2020.

The merger, which will take effect from 1 October 2023, “represents a pivotal moment for both companies as we unite to form a stronger and more expert financial services team”, the firms added.

The united company will offer a range of trust and wealth management services. In due course, the offices in the Isle of Man will be rebranded as Charterhouse Lombard.

“This merger will significantly enhance our capabilities, and we look forward to leveraging the collective expertise of our teams to continue delivering exceptional solutions to our clients worldwide,” said Chris Broadhead, group chief executive of Charterhouse Lombard.
