Investment managers Anders Jacobsen and Paul Thompson have launched global boutique investment management and advisory firm, Galileo Capital Management.

The firm will launch, manage and raise capital for a range of bespoke alternative asset funds including private equity, venture capital and hedge funds. It will also provide advice on set‐up, structuring and capital raising for third‐party mutual, venture capital, private equity and hedge funds.

In addition, the firm will provide advice on business entry strategies into China, including sourcing suitable business partners and execution.

Company co-founder and principle, Thompson, says funds in the pipeline target under‐invested business sectors or are improvements of existing investment strategies which will offer a low correlation to traditional investments.

Meanwhile, co‐founder and principal Jacobsen said: “The future of Galileo will witness niche positioning and effective maximization of opportunities in markets that are quite unexplored to date. Our strategy will pick up in areas which the market has traditionally dropped off its radar screen.”
