Investment firms join forces to ‘empower’ advisers in Asia

By Robbie Lawther, 18 May 20

There is ‘growth potential’ to bring digital turnkey asset management platforms to the region

Global wealth manager Crossbridge Capital has partnered with investment firm Dimensional Fund Advisors to help financial advisers deliver “value-added services to their clients”.

The firms said this is part of their commitment to “empower” advisers in the Asia region.

Crossbridge clients will continue to benefit from tailored investment strategies available through the digital platform Connect and their investment solutions will now also be powered by Dimensional.

The firm has operations in London, Monaco, Malta and Singapore.

Turnkey asset management platforms

By working with Dimensional, Crossbridge is making access to the advantages and benefits of using turnkey asset management platforms (Tamps) widely available to financial advisers in Asia for the first time.

Advisers will be able to offer more financial planning services and use the increased client facing time to deepen client relationships by outsourcing investment and portfolio management to Crossbridge.

Charlie O’Flaherty, partner and head of digital strategy and distribution at Crossbridge Capital Asia, said: “We want to empower our financial advisers to focus on their true value-add, and deepening of client trust and relationships allowing them to grow their businesses while we provide investment insights, support and process automation.

“There is growth potential to bring digital Tamp solutions to Asia, as it has been a successful model in Europe, North America and Australia.

“Independent wealth management firms in Asia are increasingly looking for next-generation solutions to more effectively manage their client assets and accelerate business growth.”
