IFA group joins forces with UK law firm

By Robbie Lawther, 21 Apr 20

Joint venture will ‘provide life-after-settlement investment advice’

Financial services group Frenkel Topping has entered into a 50:50 joint venture with law firm Hudgell Solictors.

It will be named Hudgells Financial Management Services and offer independent financial advice to Hudgells’ clients.

The company is expected to benefit from “new client referrals and lead to future assets under management growth”.

Mark Holt, managing director of Frenkel Topping Limited, said: “Hudgells Financial Management Services will provide life-after-settlement investment advice, which is often essential after a life-changing injury.”

Dr Neil Hudgell, managing director of Hudgell Solicitors, said: “This joint venture solidifies our relationship and provides our clients with broader services and supports our growth strategy.”

Recent activity

In February, the discretionary fund management (DFM) operation of Frenkel Topping Group formed a joint venture with advisory firm Truly Independent.

This came days after a deal collapsed to sell the Manchester-headquartered Frenkel Topping to private equity firm Harwood Capital.
