Now Health International, a private medical insurer, has introduced a flexible currency option.

Now Health International, a private medical insurer, has introduced a flexible currency option.

The facility, which is available to customers in about 200 countries across Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia Pacific, allows policyholders to pay premiums in dollars, euros or sterling.

The arrangement also includes a claims option which enables customers to be reimbursed in more than 130 currencies, the firm said.

Tim Mutton, Now Health International’s business development director, added: “For instance, a UK national living in the Philippines could pay their premium in pounds.

“But, after making a claim whilst on holiday in Bali, he or she is free to choose for their claim settlement to be made in Philippine pesos, pounds, Indonesian rupiah or virtually any other currency depending on their needs at the time.”

Now Health International, which was launched earlier this year, is headquartered in Hong Kong, and has regional offices in the UK and the United Arab Emirates. Its medical insurance plans are available directly to individuals, and via brokers and other intermediaries.
