Hansard International has hired four business development managers for Asia, the Middle East and Latin America and is close to hiring one for the UK.

The company said the hires will help it to continue to execute the ambitious growth plans it announced in March.

Elba Tse joins as general manager, North Asia, based in Hong Kong. Tse is tasked with developing business with Chinese and Hong Kong Chinese owned distributors.

She has previously worked for Zurich International Life, but most recently was managing director for Aviva Life Insurance Company in Hong Kong. Tse will report to regional sales director, Guy Medcraft

Simon Murray has also joined Hansard’s Asia team in Hong Kong as business development manager, and will be responsible for developing expatriate IFA business across North Asia. He will also report to Medcraft.

Meanwhile, Sean Millenstead has joined as business development manager responsible for developing expatriate IFA business across the Middle East. Like Tse, Millenstead has also previously worked for Zurich, within its intermediary group in the UK, but was most recently with MetLife in London.

Millenstead will report to global sales & marketing director, Graham Morrall – also a veteran of Zurich.

In Latin America, Hansard has appointed Maria Lorente who formerly worked for Friends Provident International in the region in sales support. She will be based in the Isle of Man and report to Les Wong, operations director for Hansard.

The company also said it is “very close” to appointing an additional business development manager based in the UK who will be responsible for international advisers doing offshore business in the UK, Europe and the Caribbean.
