Globaleye names managing director of APAC

By Robbie Lawther, 8 Feb 23

He was previously at AAM Advisory and Friends Provident International

International advice group Globaleye has hired Ian Black as managing director of Asia Pacific, based in Singapore.

Black joins Globaleye with over 28 years of experience in the wealth industry, spanning across the UK, Middle East and Asia.

Prior to joining Globaleye, he was the director of global wealth structuring at former advice firm AAM Advisory and prior to that, he was the regional sales manager at insurance giant Friends Provident International.

In his role as managing director – Apac, Black will be developing Globaleye’s proposition for Asia’s wealthy families, while rolling out its recently launched digital wealth offering. Furthermore, Black will be driving the company’s growth ambitions “through the acquisition of clients, advisers and other firms”.

Black said: “Joining Globaleye is truly exciting. Globaleye is a long-established business with deep roots in Asia and around the world, with a unique proposition and potential to become the number one wealth advisory for affluent individuals and families in Singapore and the wider region.

“Collaboration is key – with our clients, our team, and through our relationships with EAMs, lawyers, trustees and tax advisers, we can craft bespoke strategies to protect and preserve legacies for many generations to come.”

Rupert Searle, group chief executive of Globaleye, added: “We are delighted to welcome Ian into the business to drive our growth ambitions in Asia. Ian’s experience and expertise in wealth planning is unparalleled and I am certain our clients and advisers alike, will gain immense value from working with him.”
