The agreement was signed by the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission (GFSC) and the British Virgin Islands Financial Services Commission to create a framework that enhances the cooperation between the regions.
“The signing of this MoU is significant for us,” said the chief executive of GFSC Samantha Barrass.
“It serves to enhance our commitment to establish international relationships with other supervisory organisations, in order to support and strengthen our regulatory work”.
The agreement was signed on 13 July.
The GFSC has signed MoUs with a number of regulators and public bodies and said it “continues to seek to put in place arrangements for cooperation with counterparts in other jurisdictions”.
