Asked how similar the current landscape is to the late 1920s, Pechlaner said similar was perhaps too strong a word, but that the firm does see significant dispersion within the markets and the prospect of further turbulence.
“We are in an environment of unprecedentedly low and, in some cases negative interest rates. As a result we are a looking to focus on the fundamentals of companies and look for those that can withstand that volatility” Pechlaner said.
