Global life insurance firm Friends Provident International (FPI) has announced the death of its brand, marketing and communications manager Tim Hughes.
He had been at FPI for nearly two decades and had worked at the firm’s Dubai business for nearly 10 years.
In a statement, the insurer said: “On the morning of 17 November (Sunday) we became aware of the demise of one of our colleagues, Tim Hughes, who has worked as part of the marketing team at our Dubai branch.
“Tim has been with this organisation for 17 years and joined our Dubai office nine years ago.
“Tim was an integral part of this branch and was responsible for successfully setting up the marketing department which started with a single person(himself) and has grown into the team it is today. He will be missed by each and every one of his colleagues – both here and in the UK.
“Our prayers are with his family at this difficult time.”
Before joining FPI, Hughes started as a customer service specialist at Sun Life in 1980, and then moved to Sun Life International in the Isle of Man as a market analyst, and subsequently, as a product development manager.
