Fixed income: winners and losers in H1

As we move through the halfway point of 2017, many investors have grown wary of the risk asset rally and are returning to the relative safety of fixed income funds. But which have performed the best year-to-date? And which have not fared so well?
Another local currency vehicle (anyone sensing a pattern here?), the Lazard Emerging Markets Local Debt fund stands at a cool $351.72m, as at 11 July.
Supported by portfolio managers of the Lazard EM debt team, Denise Simon and Arif Joshi (pictured), and the team’s senior vice president Darren Madden, it has produced a total return of 10.24% year-to-date.
