Qatari financial services firm first-ever mandates CISI membership for all staff

By Mark Battersby, 27 Mar 25

The agreement will unlock a range of exclusive membership benefits for QInvest

The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) and Q Invest have formed a partnership dedicated to advancing professional standards and lifelong learning for QInvest financial services practitioners and employees.

QInvest is Qatar’s leading private investment bank, with activities across the Middle East, Europe, Turkey, UK, and USA. The new agreement with CISI will unlock a range of exclusive membership benefits for QInvest. This includes access to CISI’s state-of-the-art learning portal with continuing professional development (CPD) content curated by subject or type, allowing upskilling and continuing professional growth.

The CISI learning platform includes professional refresher, first-class digital e-learning modules, live webinars on CISI TV, recorded content on CISI’s YouTube channel, podcasts, a professional mentoring scheme and cutting-edge articles in CISI’s The Review magazine.

In addition, QInvest’s CISI membership will extend the CISI CPD learning experience by offering access through CISI’s mobile phone app MyCISI available 24/7, anytime, anywhere.

The CISI is a global chartered professional membership body and educational charity and will be working with QInvest to localise CISI CPD professional refresher modules to ensure Q Invest staff meet their annual CPD requirements set out by the Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority (QFCRA).

Matt Cowan Chartered MCSI, CISI Regional Director MENA said: “We are delighted to partner with QInvest on this important project, which will ensure their employees are committed to excellence at every level of their lifelong learning career journey, fostering a dedication to standards for QInvest’s strategic vision as a leader within the Qatari financial services profession.”

Hussein Fakhreddine, QInvest acting chief executive officer said: “Our people are core to QInvest’s success. For this reason, we are committed to ensuring the best possible learning and development opportunities to help them progress their professional careers whilst upholding the highest professional standards at our firm. Our partnership with CISI is a key part of this process.”
