Financial services provider bolsters Asia private wealth arm

By Robbie Lawther, 20 Jul 21

Ex-Vistra trust services senior manager will join the firm to work with clients in Shanghai and Beijing

IQ-EQ has boosted its private wealth segment in Asia with the appointment of Jerome Kong as associate director in Shanghai.

He will join from Vistra in Shanghai, where he was senior manager of its trust service.

Kong has experience developing new business in the Chinese private wealth sector. He will work with a range of IQ-EQ’s ultra-high net worth clients in Shanghai and Beijing.

In the role, Kong will be working alongside the wider Asia team to support on the overall commercial strategy development and execution of IQ-EQ’s private wealth segment in Asia.

Jimmy Leong, chief commercial officer of Asia at IQ-EQ, said: “With his depth of experience within the Chinese private wealth sector, it’s great to have Jerome on board the IQ-EQ Shanghai team.

“This appointment reflects the strengthening of our senior team in Asia and expansion into China, and I look forward to seeing Jerome competently grow and develop our private wealth segment in China, in tandem with our China Funds segment, led by Shanghai business development director Goldie Ko.”
