International IFA giant deVere has partnered with global law firm Stephenson Harwood to offer its clients access to legal advice on financial planning issues.

The legal services referral program will offer deVere’s 80,000 expat and high net worth clients legal advice at “preferential rates”, the advice firm said.

Stephenson Harwood – which has alliances with other independent law firms – can give clients legal opinion on wills and succession planning, inheritance tax solutions, specialist trust incorporation, real estate transactions, employment contract advice and litigation.

“We are meeting this need for our clients by engaging the legal services of Stephenson Harwood LLP, which is now the preferred law firm for any legal enquiries from clients or offices of deVere Group.”

Solid understanding

James Willn, senior lawyer at Stephenson Harwood, said: “Having worked extensively with deVere before, we believe we have a solid understanding of its clients’ legal requirements and a thorough understanding of deVere’s culture and values, in particular its commitment to going the extra mile for its clients.”
