The announcement, part of the group’s drive to expand its global office network to 100 over the next five years, follows the launch this year of operations in Lisbon, Ukraine and Hungary.
According to the firm, the Stockholm base is the first of three that will be established in Scandinavia “in the near future”.
Mark Saunders, who has been appointed to lead deVere’s operations in the region, has more than eight years’ experience in expatriate financial planning in continental Europe.
Saunders said: “With the firm’s ambitious development plans and carefully-crafted, long-term strategy, this is an exciting time to become a part of the deVere Group, and I look forward to launching the well-respected brand in Scandinavia.”
Saunders reports to deVere group director Mike Coady.
