Four charts that sum up the bond challenge

A great deal has already been written about the challenges facing asset allocators in a world where bonds yields have been pushing lower for the better part of 30 years.

Stevens points out that, of developed markets bonds, a staggering 48% are yielding just between 0% and 1%. So, he said: “unless investors are content with these levels of low yields, they have think about other ways of adding value.”
And, he adds, all regions are affected by the low yield environment, indeed, around 8% of developed markets treasuries are yielding below 0%.
