Sloper will oversee product range across EMEA for the newly-rebranded BMO Global Asset Management after its recent acquisition of F&C Asset Management.
Most recently Sloper was responsible for managing the integration of F&C Investments and BMO Global. He has 30 years of investment and fixed income experience, over half of which has been at the Bank of Montreal.
Prior to joining the Bank of Montreal in 1998, Sloper managed proprietary bond investment and trading units at BBL London Branch and at Abbey National Treasury Services.
Sloper replaced Martin Smith, who remains a member of BMO Global Asset Management’s Responsible Investment Advisory Council, which provides advice on ethical and sustainability criteria for the firm’s responsible fund range.
“Our business is in an exciting growth phase, demonstrated by our recent distribution team hires that now draw on the full range of investment capabilities from BMO’s global stable..” said Richard Wilson, chief executive of BMO Global Asset Management (EMEA).
