Barclays Wealth names Darlington to head its growing Swiss wealth structuring business

27 Jun 11

Barclays Wealth has named Robert Darlington to head its wealth structuring business in Switzerland.

Barclays Wealth has named Robert Darlington to head its wealth structuring business in Switzerland.

In his new role at Barclays, Darlington will oversee the company’s trust and fiduciary business in Switzerland, which caters for high and ultra-high net worth clients.

Darlington most recently had been head of business development and wealth structuring solutions at Lloyds TSB in Geneva, where he was responsibility for new business development across all markets, and for developing and implementing wealth structuring strategies for HNW and UHNW individuals.

Prior to this he was with Credit Suisse, also in Geneva. At Credit Suisse, he was involved with that bank’s Asia/Middle East operation, and his duties there included managing a portfolio of trusts, foundations and companies and training bank managers on trust and fiduciary products.

Darlington reports to Walter Coxon, Barclays Wealth’s London-based head of wealth structuring.

Barclays Wealth is the UK’s largest wealth manager and a major force globally, with total client assets under management at the end of June of £153.5bn.  It has offices in more than 20 countries.
