Barclays launches adviser service in Channel Islands

27 Jun 11

Barclays is launching a new service in the Channel Islands catering for the top 100 of its IFAs.

Barclays is launching a new service in the Channel Islands catering for the top 100 of its IFAs.

The Intermediary & Institutional Wealth Solutions (IIWS) team has been developed in response to the changing needs of its clients, says Barclays Wealth.

David Stanley, Barclays Wealth Director, said: “‘Business is changing rapidly and clients now require more specific solutions tailored to their complex needs.

“The days of a standardised approach have gone and we are challenged to deliver a wider range of products and solutions with relationship managers who can demonstrate true industry expertise whilst continuing to provide a technologically driven, low cost banking service to a large volume of active multi currency accounts.”

The IIWS team, which launches on the 19 May, will provide clients with a range of investment and banking products as well as product and platform solutions from Barclays Capital and Barclays Group.

“We recognise the importance to our clients of delivering superior end to end service,” added Stanley.

“Having professional relationship managers is just part of this service and so they will be supported by a dedicated middle and back office.

“This will include a proactive technical support team to deliver a range of online and bespoke technological solutions and a dedicated payment and service team. We are confident that the new IIWS team will offer clients an unrivalled service.”

Meanwhile, Barclays Capital has launched the Turtle Note series, the latest in its range of protected structured products for offshore bond investors.

The three products available are the: UK Turtle Note providing protected access to the FSTE 100 Total Return Index and the Barclays GBP Overnight Index; the Eurozone Turtle Note providing protected access to the EURO STOXX 50 Net Return Index and the Barclays EUR Overnight Index; and the US Turtle Note providing access to the S&P 500 Total Return Index and the Barclays USD Overnight Index.
