The two products are the Three Year Equity Index Linked Euro Structured Deposit Account and the Six Year Equity Index Linked Euro Structured Deposit Account. Both products give investors protected access to the Euro Stoxx 50 index and are available from 1 July to 30 August 2011.
The three year deposit offers a guarantee of full return of capital on maturity and a potential investment return of the rise in the Euro Stoxx 50 index, capped at 20%.
Meanwhile, the six year product offers a return of capital after the investment term plus the greater of either 12% growth or the rise in the linked index, capped at 50%.
Both accounts have been made available in euro, but Barclays Capital said it can create similar accounts denominated in other key currencies where demand is sufficient. Both accounts require a minimum investment of €20,000.
Access to the deposits is not available directly, but via most offshore life bond providers and select UK onshore life insurance company wrappers.
