Cartwright will be based in Kuala Lumpur and will be responsible for supporting distr9ibution of IDAD’s range of structured products and the Structured Product Fund, an open-ended fund of structured products, launched earlier this year to advisers in the Far East and Australasia.
IDAD said it has been working with advisers in the region for a number of years, with support provided from the Dubai office over the last 12 months. However, it added, while this has “worked very well” having a presence in the region “allows for much greater level of assistance to be provided and also addresses concerns over time zones”.
Cartwright has previously worked for Pan Euro Life and Axa.
“The Structured Product Fund has generated huge interest in the Far East and we’ve been looking for someone to provide ‘in region’ support to advisers over the last few months,” said Andy Gibson, managing director at Compass Global Wealth. “In Martin, we’ve found the right blend of experience, knowledge and enthusiasm to do it justice.”
