IMG enhances expat medical plan

27 Jun 11

IMG Europe has enhanced its expatriate healthcare plan.

IMG Europe has enhanced its expatriate healthcare plan.

The firm, which is the European subsidiary of International Medical Group, has introduced a 15% no-claims discount facility to its GlobalSelect International Healthcare Cover plan. The plan is designed for expatriates and local nationals and is available to individuals and families of any nationality living, working or travelling worldwide.

Managing director Carl Carter said the firm had taken the decision to include the facility after receiving feedback from its policyholders.

Other additions to the plan include an introductory 15% discount for new applicants, political and security evacuation and repatriation benefits, identity theft benefit, out of country criminal assault benefit and natural disaster evacuation and accommodation benefit.

“Expats’ needs are changing as assignments become more challenging and move farther afield,” said Carter. “Gone are the days where a ‘one size fits all’ old style expat medical plan will suffice. Expats need choice and flexibility of cover, and in many cases they are now looking for protection over and above that of traditional in-patient and out-patient costs.”
