UK financial planner acquires Scottish wealth manager

By Robbie Lawther, 9 Oct 20

Firm has been ‘monitoring the market with keen interest’

Prydis Wealth Scotland has made its first acquisition with the addition of Edinburgh-based Virtuo Wealth Management.

This comes several months after the launch of Prydis Wealth Scotland.

Led by Scott Murray, Virtuo is a financial advisory business with a focus on ethical and sustainable investments.

Murray will continue to manage his client base and joins director Colin Campbell and executive chair Stuart Wallace at Prydis Wealth Scotland.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

‘Fits perfectly’

Wallace said: “We are monitoring the market with keen interest and have been really impressed by the success Scott has achieved with Virtuo in developing a great client base.

“Prydis is unique in its approach to wealth management and will add huge value by opening wider opportunity and creating a broader offering.

“The Virtuo focus on ethical and sustainable investments fits perfectly with the Prydis ethos and Scott will be a valuable addition to the team.”

Scotland launch

Prydis Wealth unveiled its Scotland operation in June 2020.

The firm has offices in London, Exeter, Edinburgh and Liskeard.

The broader Prydis group comprises Prydis Accounts, Prydis Legal and Prydis Wealth.
