Succession Group snaps up £900m AUA chartered adviser firm London Wall Partners

By Mark Battersby, 5 Jun 24

This marks Succession’s fourth acquisition under Aviva ownership and its second in 2024

Succession Group, one of the UK’s largest financial planning and investment management groups, today (5 June) said it had acquired London Wall Partners, a London-based firm that provides independent advice to City professionals, entrepreneurs, executives in industry and family estates.

London Wall Partners was founded in 2012 to support families with significant levels of capital and currently has over £900m  of assets under advice. All partners and staff will continue to operate from the firm’s City of London offices.

This marks Succession’s fourth acquisition under Aviva ownership and its second in 2024.

Nick Fletcher, founder and senior partner of London Wall Partners, said: “Our business has been built on a love for our clients and staff, the integrity of independent advice, and the ability to provide clients with whole-of-market financial planning and investment management solutions, which will remain central to how we operate.

“It is for this reason that we were attracted to the opportunity of partnering with Succession, where we can continue to provide independent advice, while benefitting from the additional capacity and resources that come with a large, established firm.”

Roger Marsden, chief executive officer of Succession Wealth, said: “This acquisition significantly enhances our independent financial advice offering and gives us a market leading, distinctive proposition for families with significant resources, which is a key strategic growth area for Succession. It also marks an important expansion of our capabilities in London and the South East.

“We are currently seeing a large number of high-quality firms looking for a partner with a proven track record and who also provides underlying funding and ongoing certainty for clients and staff. This gives us a strong competitive advantage and we are pleased to be able to focus on joining forces with established firms like London Wall Partners which specialises in this important part of the market.

“We very much intend to invest further in providing services for existing and new clients and to build, both organically and through further acquisition, on all that Nick Fletcher and the London Wall Partners’ team have developed for their clients to date.”
