Julius Baer International creates new senior role for UNHWIs and hires three managers

Stefano Lupi joins from Pictet as head of cross assets markets UK

Julius Baer International, the UK-based wealth manager and part of the Julius Baer Group, today named Stefano Lupi as head of cross assets markets UK, a newly created role for the firm, and three new relationship managers.

Lupi will identify a strategy to build and broaden the firm’s Markets offering for UHNW advisory clients, ensuring the relevant exposure to a range of products from derivatives and securities to foreign exchange and structured products.

He will work closely with the Markets team in Zurich to deliver the firm’s full capabilities and global expertise to its UK client base.

He brings over 35 years of experience to the role and joins the firm from Pictet in London where he was in charge of global market trading. He also held senior positions at Pictet in Geneva and Singapore.

In addition, Julius Baer International has hired three new relationship managers:

Richard Griffiths joins as senior relationship manager in the London office and will be focused on serving UK based business owners and entrepreneurs.

Prior to joining, he worked at RBC Wealth Management, and has previous experience at SG Kleinwort Hambros, Citi and Barclays Wealth. Richard is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments.

Asad Zaidi joins as a senior relationship manager on the Middle East desk in London from Alti Tiedemann Global. At Julius Baer International, he will focus on working with Ultra High Net Worth families across the Middle East. With 18 years of experience across Citi Private Bank, JP Morgan, and HSBC, he specialises in family governance, succession planning and multigenerational wealth.

Utpal Garware has also joined as a relationship manager on the Middle East desk in London from Citibank, where he spent nine years working across the United Arab Emirates and the UK. At Julius Baer International, He will work with High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth families across the Middle East.
