Global and gender diversity triumph at CISI awards

Women accounted for 43% of award winners at the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment’s (Cisi) annual award ceremony with winners representing more countries than ever before.

Women accounted for 43% of award winners at the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment’s (Cisi) annual award ceremony with winners representing more countries than ever before.

The awards celebrate exceptional achievements among its students, worldwide.

The winners were more evenly split by gender than in previous years, with women taking home nearly half of the 76 prizes.

Winners ranged from age 18 to late 60s. Of the under 25s, female winners accounted for 46% of winners.

Cisi exams were held in 80 countries with students from Kenya and Kuwait taking home prizes for the first time.

Award categories included capital markets and corporate finance, operations, compliance and risk, wealth management, financial planning and Islamic finance.
