Old Mutual Global Investors has appointed Kirk Hotte as European sales director based in its London office.

Old Mutual Global Investors has appointed Kirk Hotte as European sales director based in its London office.

Reporting to head of European distribution David Aldred, Hotte will be tasked with expanding the company’s market share in “core markets” across Europe.

OMGI offers a range of investment products into Europe via its Dublin domiciled Old Mutual Global Investors Series fund range.

Warren Tonkinson, head of global distribution, said: “Having completed the merger of Old Mutual Asset Managers and Skandia Investment Group to become Old Mutual Global Investors, as well as announcing our international fund offering, we are now ready to broaden our international footprint.

“One of our objectives is to expand our European client base for our top performing range of investment funds. Kirk’s appointment is an important ingredient to helping us achieve this aim.”

Hotte joins from Investec Asset Management, where he was European business director. He has also worked for Axa Investment Managers and the Axa Group for 12 years from 1999 to 2011.

The merger of Skandia and Old Mutual was announced in September last year.
