Vam Funds appoints Asia sales manager

27 Jun 11

Vam Funds has appointed a business development manager for Asia.

Vam Funds has appointed a business development manager for Asia.

Linda McLaren joins from Standard Bank, where she was also business development manager, though for southern Europe and Africa.

McLaren had only earlier this year moved from the Isle of Man to the UK, where she had been given a new role of targeting IFAs in the British Isles – a strategy Standard Bank had not actively pursued until then.

Nigel Watson, global sales director for Vam and a former colleague of McLaren’s at Standard Bank, said: “Asia is a fast-growing and dynamic market, with a high level of investor demand. Linda is very well known in the offshore industry and is hugely respected, giving our Asia operations added gravitas. Her expertise will further enhance our ability to give our clients the outstanding service they have come to expect.”
