Yap will act as a relationship manager responsible for developing relationships with UK resident, non-domicile high net worth and ultra high net worth clients from the East and South East Asian region.
Her new clients, who come from countries such as Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia and China, are seeking wealth management solutions out of London, the Royal Bank of Canada owned company stated.
Yap, who has 14 years of experience in private banking, joins from EFG Private Bank, where she built a book of high net worth Chinese resident and non-resident clients.
Previously, she was at Standard Chartered Private Bank, and she also developed Asian business at HSBC Global Asset Management.
