“After careful analysis and review, the board of directors of Schroder International Selection Fund has decided to liquidate both Schroder ISF Brazilian Equity and Schroder ISF Global Resources on 9 April 2014 and 26 February 2014 respectively, as they are too small to be managed cost effectively and are unlikely to grow in the near future,” a spokesperson said.
The Brazilian Equity Fund was being managed by Eduardo Carlier and was 21.8% down on its initial size.
The Global Resources Fund had been managed by Giles Money since 2012 and Sam Catalano between 2010 and 2012. At the time of liquidation it was 11.9% down on its starting point.
